Well Hello everyone, I have finally made my blogging debut. As you may have guessed this is not Kelli, but instead Dan. I felt the need to do my part as a member of this blog. As the title mentions, we have passed the one month mark in Kirkland. Things are going great, we are still piddling around the Seattle area looking for new and interesting things. On Friday we took our favorite mode of transportation to Seattle to visit the zoo and the art museum. Now as you may have guessed, both of these places were Kelli's idea, but in fact, I had a great time. the zoo was funny, and reminded me a lot of the Atlanta zoo with the smaller scale and strange choices of animals. The special animal for this time of year was the flamingos. Both Kelli and I got a kick out of the flamingos being the main act at the zoo, I guess when you are from Florida you see them in every zoo all year long. But, none the less, the zoo was interesting and fun, we then spent the rest of the afternoon at the art museum, which was a, may I say, learning experience. The amount of, pardon my french, Crap, that makes it on the walls of this museum is amazing. I am pretty sure that Bradley can splatter paint on some paper, but I guess I'm not learned enough in the arts to understand. I don't want to sound unappreciative of art because some of the art was wonderful. there were Monet's, and Renoir's, and they were pretty spectacular. All in all, it was a good time and I am glad that Kelli suggested we go. Saturday was my choice so of course we went down the road to the Indian casino. It was pretty impressive. Big, beautiful, clean, and busy. I figured I would spend a few dollars and then go home, but to my surprise, I ended up winning. $150 to be exact. not bad for 2 hours of work. The only problem now is staying away. Anyone who gambles knows that the longer you are betting the less you will win, or should I say, the more you will lose. But, for now I can say that I am ahead. Sunday was a day for rest. We just lounged around the house with the pup. So, another week has gone by in our little adventure. If anyone gets a wild hair and decides to come to the west coast, we would love to have you. We are really starting to miss all of the family and friends.
