New Year's Eve

As 2008 comes to a close, it is time to take an inventory of our lives. Have we accomplished what we set out to do one year ago? Did we keep our New Year's resolutions? Did we make this year worthwhile? As I think about these questions, my focus turns to the -10 degree weather outside and wonder what I did to deserve this! No, that is not really what I am thinking, but these weather conditions are slightly less than desirable! I should have known what I was getting myself into when relocating to a subarctic climate, but one can never adequately prepare for such bone-chilling temperatures.

Aside from the threat of frostbite, it has been an exciting year! Dan and I have been on a great adventure! We have had fun times and learned a lot about each other. We have been so lucky to have these experiences and we only hope that the journey in 2009 will be just as rewarding! We also have a wedding to look forward to this year because my sister, Shannon and her Dan got engaged! Yea!

Don't forget to eat your black eyed peas and toast to another happy year!
