One Year of Wedded Bliss

Monday we celebrated our first married year together. It started and ended just like any other, but it contained a feeling of accomplishment. With one year down, I am excited to see what happens in our lives in the years to come. We decided to go grocery shopping before we picked Bradley up from his doggy hotel. After making a list, we headed to the Safeway, (which is amazing.) I am not sure if it is common practice with others, but Dan and I usually tend to leave our lists at home. How this is helpful, I am not sure, but it has become a frustrating habit. To make it worse, Dan in a grocery store with no list automatically becomes an epic journey. He insists on scouring each isle to make sure he does not miss a thing.

After an exciting morning at the grocery store, we headed up to get our little man. I was afraid he would not remember us, but he was so excited! It was a fun reunion. This time around, we asked them to give him a bath before we picked him up, so he smelled very nice and was dirt and dog slobber free. When we brought him home he immediately went to baseball for a sweet sweet love session and then slept for the rest of the day, (I feel bad for invading Bradley's privacy by posting this intimate photo, but it is just so funny I wanted to share it with everyone.)
For our anniversary, we tried to stick with the theme of paper, so I got Dan a guitar and Jack Johnson and James Taylor music. He had been talking about wanting to learn to play and I figured if he was going to pride himself in his guitar hero skills he might as well learn to play an actual guitar. Dan got us tickets to see Phantom of the Opera at the Seattle theatre for next week, I am super excited!
Before dinner at Bonefish, (we had been craving bang bang shrimp,) we opened up a bottle of Dom Perignon that Dan got as a graduation gift and it was very nice. It felt like a guilty pleasure drinking something so expensive! While we sipped on the champagne, we watched our wedding video, how romantic! Dinner was great, their menu was slightly different, (Halibut instead of Grouper and other variations of different menu items,) but the bang bang shrimp and the macadamia nut brownie was just as good as ever!
