Homeward Bound

Last week our friends came to visit us in the great AK. I knew that Cory and Jimmy were coming up, but I was suprised to see our friends, Sarah and Josh! Dan was in on it too, I was so excited that they came to see us!
We went skiing at Alyeska for 2 days, which was great fun! It was a riot watching everyone try to get used to the skiis. Poor Jimmy fell at the end of the first day and dislocated his shoulder. The other days they were with us, we went to the conservatory, the zoo, and some local restaurants. We were really impressed with the zoo in Anchorage, they had lots of different animals. The highlight was the wolverine. She looked so happy running and rolling around in her cage, kind of like she was crazy. The boys also made a snowman that was probably 4 feet tall, (a very respectable size, especially for their first time). It was great seeing everyone, we had been feeling a little homesick and we were ready for some fun!
Yesterday we said goodbye to Alaska. We lugged a total of 9 bags out of our house, to Enterprise Rental Car, into a cab, and into the airport, the majority of which weighed in at or around 50lbs. We really got a workout! Our flight to Seattle was delayed due to mechanical issues, so what else was there to do but go to the Chili's Too for some margaritas!
When we got to Seattle, we took a car to Kirkland to get the ol' Titan out of storage. We were keeping our fingers crossed that he would start, and to our dismay, the battery was dead. We tried to jump it ourselves with our handy roadside kit, but it was a no go. We left the storage unit defeated and went to a hotel across the street to do whatelse but drink some more.
This morning we woke refreshed and ready to revive our vehicle. AAA came and gave us a new battery, and he was as good as new. We ate a farewell breakfast at the The Brown Bag Cafe before continuing on our journey home.
Our plan is to head west to the coast and follow it down through California, stopping in to visit family along the way. We will be sure to post some pictures and keep you updated on our job status, (currently unemployed, ie true gypsies, wandering the country aimlessly with all of our belongings, minus a dog.)
Bradley, by the way, is home and happy with his grandparents and BFF, Cooper.
