Our time in Alaska is winding down. Our last day of work was Tuesday night. We are now officially jobless. In another week we will be homeless and heading back to Tallahassee to mooch off the parents for a bit. Hmmm, I think we will truly be gypsies at that point, up until now we have been claiming as much, but have had job security and an actual roof over our heads. The plan right now is to take our time getting back to Tallahassee and taking the opportunity to see the country, in true nomad fashion, go where the wind blows! Of course, between now and then, if we get a job offer, we will change the direction of our course.
Qiviut, the upstairs dog, has had a makeover. He was shaved! He looks like a whole different dog! Kind of like a weimaraner with some white on him. He was so proud of his new look and could not wait to show Bradley his new do. It took Bradley a minute to realize it was his old pal, but now I think that they are both happier not to have all the hair in the way of their fun!
We are also waiting on a volcano to erupt southwest of here. Yesterday, they saw some increased activity again, but then it evened out. We have these special masks just in case and they have told us to be prepared not to be able to go outside for several days. Hopefully it will hold off until we are out of here!
