Almost There!

After several days of driving I think it is safe to say that once in Washington, we will be happy to explore other modes of transportation! We are currently driving on I-84 in Idaho. I was telling my mother the other day when we began our trek from Tennessee to Kansas that I just thought there was nothing in Tallahassee until now, but we have literally been driving through a whole bunch of NOTHING! Today, however, the scenery has been much prettier with all of the huge mountains around us. We even saw some deer looking things.

We stayed the night in Topeka Tuesday. Driving was a little harder only because we went through some bad weather. Bradley also had a hard time Tuesday, he kept trying to come up front with us and when we didn't let him, he would sulk with his back to us. At one point, I am not sure if he decided to try and escape or what, but he climbed on top of the back seat! he looked like a cat. He has definitely been our entertainment this trip!

Yesterday we arrived in Fort Collins, Colorado. It was are favorite town yet. It was so cute and clean and everyone was very friendly. Bradley did, however, get hit by a bicyclist! Dan was walking him near the sidewalk and all of a sudden this woman yells out, "LEFT!" It scared Bradley half to death and he ran right in front of her. She just lightly hit him with her front tire and everyone was fine, but I think Bradley is traumatized for life! Our good friend, Mary, came over to our hotel for Pizza and we got to catch up with her. She is working at a rafting/kayaking store for the summer. We had a great time!

Today we will stop for the night in Boise and we will get to Kirkland tomorrow! We are so excited to see our new home!

CLOSING REMARKS
This trip has taught Dan and I some things about ourselves and about each other. Dan can get stressed easily and if he does, do not expect him to be able to recall or execute a plan. I can become cranky easily and this is best handled by cussing at the IPod, (or worse, poor Dan). For those of you who think that your relationship is perfectly fine because you do not argue, I say just give it time! Just a few things that I suggest you do if you would like a good fight:

1. Refinish and replace the hardware on your kitchen cabinets

2. Drive down MLK Blvd in Atlanta at night

3. Sell a house

4. Become minimalists, (ie pack everything you own into the back of a truck, what doesn't fit, give away or sell)

5. Drive clear across the country in 5 days

6. Check in to a hotel with a dog and your entire lives
