Saying Goodbye

Between saying goodbye to old friends and packing, Dan and I are just glad to have made it through this week alive and still talking to each other, (just barely)! Sunday night was our last night at TMH and boy, was it hard to leave! Dan and I had grown close to many of our colleagues and we will miss them so much. It is so much easier to go work when you enjoy the people around you! For me, it was also sad leaving some of my babies, i will miss them too!

Wednesday we said goodbye to our Home Sweet Home on Wahalaw Nene! We spent all day Monday and Tuesday packing up what was left of our former life. I think Dan may not be looking forward to doing this every 3 months, since he is in charge of all the heavy stuff! Luckily, the weather was great and we got it all done with time to spare. Leaving the driveway was harder than we thought it would be, but with Rusted Roots' "Send Me On My Way," we officially began our journey and our mortgage-free life!

We have been staying with my family this week and my parent's dog, Sadie and our dog, Bradley have been playing a little rough. Sadie bit the tip of Bradley's ear and there was blood everywhere! Even next day, we were still finding blood on the floor and the walls! His ear has healed now, but only after tons of gauze, band aids, and a trip to the vet! Sadie, too, has her own battle wounds to show off. I think Sadie and Maggie are wondering if this crazy dog will be staying for good!
